Imaging • Laptops delivered to vendor for imaging • Image provided to vendor • Initial imaging done, approved by School District • Laptops imaged • Laptops Barcoded, spreadsheet with Asset Number/Serial Number delivered by vendor to School District
Import info to servers • Serial numbers imported to Apple Profile Manager server per school. • Laptop names imported to Filewave by school. • Asset/Serial Numbers imported into Inventory Program by school (Destiny)
Deliveries • Laptops delivered to schools based on order • Schools responsible for securing inventory
Binding • Default web page set to download page for Bind Script • Bind Script downloaded and executed. • Hello Active Directory, Apple Server, Filewave… Here I am!
Accessories Prep • Backpacks delivered, unpacked • ID Tags for backpacks ready • Power Adapters for Laptops organized, laptop asset numbers marked on adapter bricks
School staff trained • Deployment plan shared, staff trained on process • Bookkeepers trained on fee collection • Help Desk staff trained on basic processes
Preparing the parents • Parent Orientation meetings scheduled. • Parents sign agreements. • Parents watch video. • Parents pay for Protection Plan • Student Eligibility Reports produced based on the above.
