  11. Technology Process and Engg Capability Strategy • GNFC has developed in house process Engg. Capabilities. • GNFC have following software for help in our job: • ASPEN process simulation software • CHEMCAD simulation software • HTFS heat exchanger rating / Design • CHEMPRO XLT • These software help in evaluation of Heat Exchanger, Control Valve, Orifice etc.

  12. Maintenance, Plant up gradation and cost & energy consumption strategy • Reduced energy consumption per Tone of Ammonia and Urea and maintain availability of raw materials all down stream plants. • A 33 MW Gas Turbine is installed to improve power generation efficiency reduce steam and power cost • Replacement of Ammonia Synthesis converter catalyst and basket S-200. • Replacement of Six numbers of FD fans in Boilers with Energy Efficient new fans

  13. Energy Audit • Internal Audits & Surveys • Fans/Blowers • Steam Traps • Compressed Air • Cooling Towers • Cooling Water Pumps • Process Pumps for Possible Impellers trimming and Resizing • Insulation Surveys: steam piping & Boiler Insulation • Thermography of Boilers • Walk Through Audit • External Audits- Legal and Voluntary

  14. Energy Cell & Energy Policy • Coordination of energy audit through external consultant • Energy policy for GNFC for maintaining the standards in process for energy saving. • Employees training and awareness • Energy Conservation Programs for School children • Cooling water pump efficiency improvement at Ammonia, Urea and CPP plants.
