HCA Safety Program Annual and Quarterly InspectionReview DSR Quarterly Meeting March 7 2012
How Inspections Help the Safety Program An inspection provides knowledge of hazards and conditions that exist in the workplace, and identifies, equipment and procedures that could be potentially hazardous.
How Does the Annual Inspection Help the DSR? • The DSR may be able to prevent many hazards from occurring through scheduled and documented self-conducted inspections. • DSRs are able to ensure established safe work practices are being followed and that those unsafe conditions or procedures are identified and corrected properly.
Last Note…… Scheduled inspections are conducted in addition to the everyday safety checks that are part of the routine duties of managers, supervisors and DSRs
Where can I find the form that is used for all HCA Safety Inspections? The HCA inspection form is found on the HCA intranet and the same form is used for both quarterly and annual inspections.
