  1. BED OCCUPANCY RATIO HOSIZAH

  2. ISTILAH-ISTILAH • Bed Count • Newborn Bed (Bassinet) Count • Bed Count Days • Newborn Bed Count Days • Bed Occupancy Ratio (BOR) • Bassinet Occupancy Ratio • Bed Turnover Rate (BTO) • Turn Over Interval (TOI)

  3. BED COUNT • Bed capacity synonymously • A bed count is the number of available facility inpatient beds, both occupied and vacant, on any given day. • In a hospital, the bed count includes those beds set up for normal use, whether or not they are occupied. • Exclude: • Examining rooms • Emergency services • Physical therapy • Labor rooms • Recovery rooms

  4. BED COUNT • in a hospital, the number of available beds in a facility or a unit may remain constant for long periods of time. • At times, however, the number can and does change. For example, a significant number of beds may be unavailable for use during a major remodeling or renovation. • Therefore, it is always wise to do a bed count.

  5. NEWBORN BEDS • = Bassinets • are computed separately from the bed count • The newborn bassinet count is the number of available hospital newborn bassinets, both occupied and vacant, on any given day

  6. BED COUNT DAYS • a bed count day is a unit of measure denoting the presence of one inpatient bed (either occupied or vacant) set up and staffed for use in one 24-hour period

  7. LATIHAN • In the event of a disaster, extra beds are available that may be set up to meet the immediate needs of the disaster situation. Are these beds part of the bed count?

  8. BOR • Bed Occupancy Ratio • Percent occupancy • Occupancy percent • Percentage of occupancy • Occupancy Ratio

  9. RUMUS Total inpatient service days in a period X 100 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Total bed count days in the period (Bed count x number of days in the period)

  10. BOR • Persentasepemakaiantempattidurpadaperiodetertentu Rumus JumlahHariPerawatanpadaperiodetertentu X 100 Jumlahttygtersedia X Jumlahharipadaperiodeygsama Disarankan 60 – 85 %

  12. BED TURN OVER (BTO) Berapakalisatutempattidurdipakaiolehpasienpadaperiodetertentu • Rumus: • JumlahPasienKeluar (H+M) • Total tempattidur BTO = 1.931/608 = 3,18 kali = 3 kali

  13. TURN OVER INTERVAL (TOI) Rata-rata haritempattidurtersediapadaperiodetertentu yang tidakterisiantarapasienkeluar/ meninggaldanpasienmasuk Rumus: (Tt. X Jl. Hari pd periodettt) – jml. hr perawatan pd periodettt Jumlahpasienkeluar (H+M) padaperiode yang sama

  14. CONTOH • Contoh : Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh pada bulan Juni 2008 = (608 X 30) – 12.246 1.931 = 18.240 – 12246 = 3,10 hari = 3 hari 1.931 • Jadi TOI RS “X” tersebut pada bulan Juni 2008 adalah 3 hari.

  15. CONTOH • Padatanggal 1 Juni 2012, total hariperawatanadalah 170 dan total tempattersediaadalah 200. • Hitunglah BOR padatangal 1 Juni 2012! • PadabulanDesember 2011, total hariperawatanadalah 1.400 dantempattidurtersediaadalah 50. • Hitunglah BOR bulanDesember 2011!
