Course Objectives • Understanding of factual information political, economic, social & cultural history historical chronology turning points in American history • Critical & analytical thinking skills evaluation of historical development & themes, historical cause & effect, change over time • Interpretation of primary sources Analyze & synthesize historical data

  5. Quarterly Grades • 3-4 tests per quarter (30-40%) • Approximately 2 essays (DBQs) per quarter plus smaller writing assignments (10-15%) • Homework & Projects (30-40%) • Class work including participation (10-15%)
