He calculates the prospect as one in 1 million, the same as the risk of being killed in a crash of a commercial jet. "The average American is twice as likely to be killed next year in a bicycle accident, and 150 times as likely to be killed in an automobile accident, and about 1,500 times as likely to die of clogged arteries," he says.
