Turbotax is now part of IIA • CUTS Performance Marketing was acquired by CUSG in January 2011 to add TurboTax to the Invest in America program • Adding TurboTax to IIA will provide your credit union with: • Increased reach and efficiencies: A single source for year round, turnkey product discount programs designed specifically for credit unions. Over 800 credit unions currently offer a TurboTax discount to their members. • More resources to increase the effectiveness of your programs: TheClient Relations team will actively work with partner credit unions to support their efforts in promoting Invest in America programs.

Program Participation requirements To Qualify for the Participant Level • Post a TurboTax banner above-the-fold on your homepage for the duration of tax season (December – April) • Post a TurboTax banner above-the-fold on the account summary page of your Online Banking page(s) for the duration of tax season (December – April) • Take advantage of the free marketing materials To Qualify for the Promoter Level • Send one dedicated TurboTax email before 1/26/12 and a second dedicated email before 4/1/12 • Post a TurboTax banner above-the-fold on your homepage and Online banking pages for the duration of tax season (December – April) • Promote the sweepstakes in your newsletter or statement inserts (free from CUSG) before 1/26/12

  12. Marketing best practices: Five essentials for a successful turbotax campaign 1. Get Your Marketing Messages Out Early. 30% of taxpayers file by mid-February. Promote TurboTax in your December and January emails, newsletters and statement inserts. Increase your marketing and Web impressions by January 15th. 2. Be Seen. Be Heard. Place banners and messaging on high traffic areas of your Website by the end of December: Home Page, Online Banking, Bill Pay and Account Summary pages. Place the banners “above the fold” and remove unnecessary jump pages and extra clicks. 3. Be There When Your Members are Looking for Tax Help. Your Members are looking for an easy, fast tax solution. Reach Members in a Variety of Ways. The more cues you provide your Members, the better. Don’t just rely on your Website placements. Utilize both online and offline efforts to drive your Members to your offers with statement inserts, emails, newsletter articles and posters.
