General causes of immigration • Many people immigrate to other countries for marriage, this can get them citizenship. • They might immigrate because of money they might not be making enough, or the prices are to high to live there. • People may move because of politics like a bad leader or a corrupt system. • People may also immigrate because they are not getting a good enough education.

  3. Positives about immigration • The immigrants do the jobs many people don’t want to do. • It helps add some diversity to the U.S. • If they are legal they pay taxes and help the economy .

  4. Negatives to immigration • If they are legal they sometimes abuse welfare system. • They steal jobs away from Americans without jobs. • Many might start to sell drugs to make money.

  11. Gaining more respect for nativism is good for all people. Having metropolitan can help the United States and open our eyes to a new culture. If you have enough diversity in a area it can cause a cultural change.

  12. Jobs might be more unavailable in a certain economic system. Keeping citizenship hard will cause a higher rate in illegal immigration. Lower wages may cause people to emigrate.

  13. Many stereotypes are based on prejudice of a certain type of people or ideals. New demographics help the nation figure out what the people want and the majority of the people are. Opposed to international conflicts some people will not vote for a candidate because of foreign policy.

  14. People are all the same and both should have minority and majority rights. Quotas are very important to a nations immigration limits. Ravines can keep the sun belt cooler.

  15. Strong special interests groups will not back down from their ideals. Tempting ideals of political freedom may drive someone to leave their country. Urbanizationwas about people leaving cities to go to more country areas and this caused and urban sprawl 1950s.

  16. Variations of people in megalopolis areas are great because they have so many people. When you go to a new country people may experience discrimination because of their national origins. Xenophobia can lead to hate crimes committed against foreigners.

  17. Yearly immigration is monitored by a quota. Zip codes are how demographics know how to organize their information.
