  2. Don’t be a Couch Potato, be a Couch Creator Get up and create fun healthy habits for you and your family. Be a kid with your kids get out and play, if you can’t go outside play inside. Just get up be active. Make your fitness fun!! Here are some ideas to get you started being active with your family and friends….

  3. …Play tag, Kick ball, Frisbee, Nerf football, Badminton.. Simon Says (adults can use small hand weights while they play for added exercise )

  4. Walk the neighborhood… make it a contest who can walk fastest… who can walk slowest…Can you walk backwards? Walk the dog together add more distance each week

  5. Bike together Play Catch, softball, rubber ball, tennis ball Dodge ball Volley ball

  6. If you’re inside use a Nintendo WII fit if you have one. They are a great way to be active. OR Good old Musical chairs or Dance to fun music, see who can dance the longest contest .

  9. JUST GET UP BE ACTIVE!!! Make Fitness Fun!!! GET UP and PLAY ….DON’T sit and watch!!!!!!! Play Outside – Kick ball , volleyball, badminton etc Play inside – Simon Says, Nerf Games, Wii, musical chairs, dance or balloon volleyball..be creative. DO stuff like walking, hiking , biking… discover your neighborhood Check out what Fort Gordon Sports and Recreation offers - Attend the special events in the area- walkathons, Barton Trail tours Go on a photo safari in your own neighborhood or a local park like Pointes West (walking of course) Sign up as a family for a lesson in Martial Arts, Dance, Yoga, Golf…. Go Bowling or skating - get a group together and don’t forget the camera Do the simple things like park in the last parking spot of the parking lot not the front row, walk up the stairs …THINK FUN FIT
