  2. Our star or is it ? Our star the Sunis the Brightest object in the sky . It’s bigger than any other object in our solar system . The Sun is an average - size star . Gases boil and pop on the sun surface .

  3. Star traits • Sun spots – sun spots are like dark blotches on the suns bright surface that is because a sun spot is slightly cooler than the area around it . • Solar flares - solar flares are bright arches of hot , glowing gas erupting from the surface of the sun .

  4. A star is born then it is to die Some nebulae are star nurseries , or where stars are born . Star birth is not a gentle process .The biggest and hottest stars burn their fuel quickly but smaller stars live longer. Luckily , our sun is a smaller star .

  5. VOCAB WORDS Axis –The axis of the earth passes through both of its imaginary poles . Arc – A portion of a curve , especially of a circle .
