  2. About the country • The Republic of Venezuela is in South America and is the sixth largest country there. • It has a population of about 27.7 million people. • It is bordered by Brazil, Colombia and Guyana • The capital city is Caracas.

  3. The main language spoken is Spanish and the main religion is Christianity. • Hugo Chavez has been the President since 1998. • The main export is oil, metals and agricultural(farming) products.

  4. Geographical features • It has a coastline on the Caribbean sea • Part of the Andes mountain range runs through this country • It contains the 2nd largest river in South America, the Orinoco. It is 2,500km long. • The Southern part of the country contains part of the Amazon Rainforest.

  5. Angel Falls are the tallest waterfalls in the world, measuring 988m high.
