Short term affects of alcohol • The drug alcohol is a central nervous system depressant with a range of side effects depending on the amount of consumption. • Hydration plays a part in how fast the side effects of alcohol affect you. • The amount of consumption also plays a part in what side effects and how bad the side effects are.

  3. Short term affects of alcohol • If consumed in small amounts side effects can be slow reaction time, slurred speech, bad balance. • If consumed in large amounts the side effects can be loss of consciousness and even alcohol poisoning which can lead to death. • Death can also occur from asphyxiation by vomit.

  4. Short term affects of alcohol • mental/emotional: brain activity decreases which can cause stress because you can begin too fail school. • Social: you will be humiliated because you do stupid stuff when your drunk. • Physical: drinking can cause Sleeping problems which will Affect your skills at sports.
