  2. Short Films • Most movies or short films were silent films in motion. • Most of the films were in black in white or sepia.

  3. 1664-1666 • Isaac Newton discovers that white light is composed of different colors.

  4. 1867 • Patented in 1867 by William Lincoln, moving drawings or photographs were watched through a slit in the zoopraxiscope . • zoopraxiscope - an early type of motion-picture projector .

  5. Early Movies • Eadweard Muybridge’s “The Horse in Motion,” made in 1878, is often designated as the first.

  6. 1920’s • American engineer Philo Taylor Farnsworth devised the television camera, an image dissector, which converted the image captured into an electrical signal .

  7. First Disney Channel Movies • Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1837 • One the first Disney Movies was Snow White. It was released on February 4, 1938 .
