  2. The First Camera • The first camera was made in 1840. • It was made by Alexander Wolcott.

  3. Transmitting pictures over wire • In 1884 German inventor Paul Nipkow develops a rotating-disc technology to transmit pictures over wire.

  4. ABC was born • ABC was born as a result of a government forced split of NBC. The network was bought by candy manufacturer Edward J. Noble, who gave it its namesake.

  5. First Video Recorder • The first video recorder was made in 1951. • It was made by Charles Ginsburg.

  6. The First Home Video Recorder • The first home video recorder was made in 1975.

  7. The First Camcorder • In 1980 the 1st. portable recorder and camera combinations are introduced.
