India lost its one of the gems on 14th June 2020. The death wasn't natural. Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide and died due to asphyxia. The reason behind this suicide isn't clear though he was suffering from depression from the past few months. 2020, news spread all over the country that Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha filed a case against Salman Khan, Karan Johar, and six others under Section 306, 109, 504, and 506 of IPC as they abet him to take such a step. Sections under which case was filed - Section 306 of IPCstates that if a person commits suicide because if abetment then that person shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years and fine. Section 109 of IPC talks about the punishment of abetment. Abetment means encouraging or promoting a person to do something which isn't permissible by law. This section states that if someone abets another person to commit an offense and if he does so due to abetment and there is no provision for such abetment then the person will be punished for the original offense. Section 504 of IPC states that if a person intentionally insults anyone, knowing that it will disturb him mentally or public peace or the person may commit any other offense because of the insult then the person will be punished for the term which may extend to two years or fine or both. Section intimidation. Criminal intimidation means that a person threatens another person to cause him injury or to his property or to his reputation or to the reputation of the person with whom he has interest or compels him to do any act which isn't permissible by Law. This section states that if someone commits an offense of criminal intimidation then he will be punished with imprisonment which may extend to two years or fine or both. If the person threatens to cause death or grievous hurt or destruction of his property by fire then he will be punished with death or imprisonment for life or imprisonment which may extend to seven years. 506 of IPC talks about punishment for criminal
