  1. Finalizing IFAD NUS Projects' web site Second Steering Committee Meeting IFAD Grant 1241 22-23 July 2013, New Delhi, India Nadia BergaminiBioversity International

  2. URL of the web site http://www.nuscommunity.org/

  3. How National partners can contribute directly • Short videos on topics covered by the project (NUS, cultivation practices, climate change, custodians, conservation practices, CBR, documentation practices, farmers networking for seed exchange, women groups, etc). The idea of these videos is that they should help us to convey some important messages- short and right to the point. They can be also in local languages and if so they would need a short explanatory text to accompany them. They should also help us to transmit a human message as well, and to that end, we would need that you please always add the name of the person, village /town, region and country where the video was shot. Please load these videos on the site we have created specifically for our nus community on Youtube. You will enter this site as if you were the account manager: • Youtube:http://www.youtube.com/ • Username:nuscommunity@gmail.com • Password: Livelihoods • Process: load video and provide info re title, description, tags (4-5)

  4. Meaningful images on the above topics. These should be accompanied by caption that should say: 1. Title of photo, 2. Comment (one line) and 3. Location and 4. name of owner of the image. Please load these images on our dedicated site on Flickr as follows: • Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/ • Username: nuscommunity@gmail.com • Password: Livelihoods • Process: upload photo and provide info re description, tags (4-5) and people (name of farmer or other). • PPT presentations: If you like to share these, please follow these instructions: • ftp://ftp-hq.bioversity.cgiar.org/ • Username: bioversity-ftp1 • Password:Cl0udW@rs • Process: Go to the Folder called “nuscommunity” and upload the ppt

  5. What National Partners can send to us • Stories on people and NUS, challenges, opportunities, personal views regarding their conservation and use (these contributions can be emailed directly to me). Please provide a special focus on custodian farmers, since this is really at the core of our Project’s investigations. • Reports, Publications, fact sheets, etc you would like to share (also in local language) – these should be closely related to our project’s themes. Please be informed that we have already loaded those publications produced insofar by the two IFAD Projects (these can be also sent to me). • News and Events which you feel are relevant to the project’s themes and are worth sharing with the whole team and can help create links with other stakeholders.

  6. YOUR SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO IMPROVE THE WEB SITE ARE MOST WELCOMED!!!! THANK YOU
