Concept of Pixel • Photoshop image is a bitmap • A layer of dots (pixel) of different shades or colors on a rectangular grid • Each pixel represents a color or shade • Pixels can be edited individually • Photoshop is ideal for producing painterly, photographic, or photorealistic images Basic Concepts of CGS

  8. RGB vs. CMYK color – 1 • Red, Green and Blue (RGB) lights are used to display a color image on a monitor – combine them to produce white light. • The primary inks used in four-color process printing are cyan (C), magenta (M), yellow (Y), and black (K). Basic Concepts of CGS
