ACP (Audio Conferencing Provider) Integration • Role of ACP for multitenant hosted Lync • ACP provides PSTN integration to Lync conferencing and collaboration. • ACP integration Scenarios: • Dial-in to PSTN Bridge that can access a Lync conference • Dial-out functionality (call me, add user) • Mute/unmute yourself and others on Lync VoIP and on PSTN Bridge • Conference lock of both Lync and PSTN Bridge • Remove participant on both Lync and PSTN Bridge • ACP integration options: • Partner AP & Partner built bespoke Middleware (ACPSDK)

  11. ACP Topology • One Conference is created for Lync endpoints on the Lync MCU • One Conference is created for PSTN endpoints on the PSTN Bridge • The Two Conference’s are tethered (Barbell) together • AP for Signaling • Mediation server <> SBC for Audio

  12. Lync Hosting Pack Provisioning The Hosting community makes heavy use of automation to reduce cost. Hoster’s need to build and integrate into their existing Service Providers and tenant Admin UI systems. (Control Panels) PowerShell commandletsand few AD Attributes act as the Hosters API to Lync Servers to allow the above capabilities. Lync Server Planning tool is not supported. Design guidelines are used instead Lync Server Topology Builder is not supported. Manual XML file is used instead Lync Server Control Panel is not supported (ieBigfin). Commandlets are used instead

  13. Take away • This is hosting pack 1.0 (much more to come) • The hosting pack is aimed at the small business market @ low cost • Plenty of room for O365 & Hosting Pack and Dedicated Lync in the marketplace.
