  2. עד כה עסקנו בכל שעור בנושא נפרד, והיכרנו כלי/כלים ייחודיים לו. במהלך אנאליזה ביואינפורמטית אנו מעוניינים לעיתים תכופות לקבץ /רשומות נתונים בעזרת שיטה אחת ואח"כ להמשיך לנתח או לאפיין נתונים אלה באמצעות כלים נוספים. כלים אינטגרטיביים, בהם ה-output של שלב א' מהווה בסיס ל-input של השלב הבא, יכולים לפשט את תהליכי הניתוח ולהקל על המשתמש, במיוחד כשיש שפע נתונים. היום נציג כלים/ממשקים המאפשרים לנו חשיפה למספר כלי ניתוח נפוצים ונותנים לנו שליטה בפרמטרים השונים של כלים אלה.
