Information about children’s medical needs have been requested • Volunteers need to be aware of children using inhalers • In the event of any accidents : • Raise your arm to alert coordinator • We all return to school however minor • Mobile phone is carried and a first aider will be available on sight or at school

  3. Any issues involving the police will be handled by the coordinator • Accidents will be recorded in the schools accident book and by the coordinator • Do not deal with any potential or actual behaviour problems at the roadside • Always report any issues and the teachers will be informed by the coordinator

  4. Bad Weather Policy is different with every school • The head teacher makes the final decision • If it is raining alternative arrangements will be made ie: Reading, colouring talking about road safety • Children must wear coats if it is cold.

  5. All volunteers are to wear ID badges in the school and when out on the roadside • Children and volunteers must wear waistcoats provided while out of school • Please inform head teacher if you are ill or can not attend a session • Checklists must be filled in after sessions and given to coordinator then or at next session • All volunteers have to be police checked
