  3. Introduction • The previous presentation looked at how injury could take place over a period of time. • In this presentation we look at how a safety problem could cause an immediate injury.

  5. What can you spot? • Are there any potential safety hazards in your classroom or at home? • Make a list of hazards in both your classroom and at home. • How have the hazards been addressed? • In general, where do you think safety hazards are being addressed more suitably?

Questions • What is the difference between a health hazard and a safety hazard? • Describe three health hazards that could affect a computer operator? • For each potential problem described in the previous question, suggest an appropriate solution. • Describe three safety hazards that could be taken into account when installing a new computer room. • For each hazard described in the previous question, suggestion an appropriate solution.
