  1. GurdwaraBer Sahib Jee, SultanpurLodhi Guru Nanak Dev Jee mediated under this tree for many years. Beside the Gurdwara is the River Bein, where Guru Jee went missing for three days.

  2. Guru Nanak Dev Jee and the MoolMantar Guru Nanak Dev Jee worked as a store keeper in SultanpurLodhi. His daily routine would be to wake up in the early hours of the morning and bathe in the River Bein. After their bath, they would spend many hours praying and meditating under a tree. Guru Jee would then go to work and even whilst working their focus would be on Vaheguru. In the evenings GurooJee would sit with the sangat and discuss the virtues of God. One morning Guru Nanak Dev Jee went to bathe in the river as normal. BhaiMardana Jee always accompanied Guru Sahib and would wait for them to return after their bath. A few hours passed and this time Guru Jee did not return. BhaiMardanaJee called out for Guru Jee but their was no reply. BhaiMardanaJee went back to the village and told the villagers about what had happened. The Newab of Sultanpur loved Guru Jee dearly and sent out a search party to look for Him. Guru Jee was nowhere to be found. Everyone gave up hope and thought that Guru Nanak Dev Jee had drowned. BibiNanaki Jee (Guru Nanak Dev Jee’s elder sister) had complete faith in her brother and refused to believe that He had drowned. She recognised that He was the light that had come to guide people on to the true path and save the world. After three days, Guru Nanak Dev Jee appeared from the river with a heavenly glow about them. Everyone was very happy to see Guru Jee. Guru Nanak Dev Jee spent the three days with Vaheguru. During this time Guru Jee asked Vaheguru how to explain God and His qualities to the people of the world. Vaheguroo replied with the MoolMantar. IK OANKAAR SAT NAAM KARTAA PURAKH NIRBHAU NIRVAIR AKAAL MOORAT AJOONEE SAIBHAN(G) GURPARSAADH JAP AAD SACH JUGAAD SACH HAI BHEE SACH NAANAK HOSEE BHEE SACH The MoolMantar is the root hymn and in explains the qualities of God in detail.
