  2. SUN • A yellow dwarf star • It is one of the two things that we need for the habitable zone • It was formed about 4.5 billion years ago

  3. OUR PLANETS part 1 • Mercury is the closest to the sun so it is the hottest • Venus takes 243 days to rotate around the sun • Earth is the water planet so it has life because it has a star and liquid

  4. OUR PLANETS part 2 • Mars has the biggest volcano in the solar system • Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system • Saturn rings are made up of billions of pieces of dust

  5. OUR PLANETS part 3 • Uranus spins on its side • Neptune is the stormiest planet, the wind can be up to 1,240 miles per hour • Pluto is not considered a planet anymore because of its size and its moon is half its size

  6. ASTEROID BELT • the region of the solar system located between Mars and Jupiter • it was the rocks left over from when the sun and the nine planets were made

  7. Kuiper belt • is a region of the solar system beyond the planets extending from orbit it is basically the asteroid belt but is way larger
