Apple Student School symbolizes my livelihood. I am always learning new things; I think of myself as a life-long student. Consumer As an American, shopping is a big part of who I am. We learn early on that having the best, newest thing will make us happy. (But it’s all smoke and mirrors.).

  1. Apple Student School symbolizes my livelihood. I am always learning new things; I think of myself as a life-long student. Consumer As an American, shopping is a big part of who I am. We learn early on that having the best, newest thing will make us happy. (But it’s all smoke and mirrors.) Democracy This button represents my ability to have a say in who governs my life. Even if I don’t think I’ll make a difference, I know I can’t if I don’t vote. My America Instant During my life, fast food, has become a huge part of our society. We are always on the go, working or playing, therefore we need fast meals. Midwest This symbolizes my experience in the farmland. Corn was my food and my family’s income. We would not be here without it. Who: Ms. Ortega Where: Culver City, CA What: High school English teacher California These classic sandals symbolize my experience as a Californian. They are extremely comfortable, versatile and fashionable. This embodies the spirit of California. Liberty Lady Liberty represents my ability to dream big. I have freedom to think and do as I please. I can change my mind whenever I see fit. Free Speech The wind-up teeth are the perfect symbol for voicing my opinion. I am proud to say that I am able to speak my mind. Woman This image symbolizes my experience as a woman. We have come a long way in this country. This image shows the history and power of the American woman. Compassionate Heart Growing up in small town America has molded me into a kind and compassionate person. I love to help others!
