Marketing Plan I. Company Analysis
Why we chose Replay… • Resale of good products • Recycling • Small- Family oriented • Market not saturated • Opportunity and Potential
Their Goals and Objectives… • Be a place where families can come and get nice children’s clothes at a reasonable price, and children can play while mom shops.
Offer some return to the families by selling on consignment • Active part of the community
Products and services… Used: • Children’s clothes to size 16 • Maternity clothes • Baby accessories, cloth diapers, bedding. • Furniture. We sell on consignment where families get 40-50% of the sale price back
Key concepts that differentiate Replay… • One of only a few children’s clothes resale stores in Corvallis • We give a good portion of the clothes value back to the original owner • Personal Mom & Pop family environment
Replay’s strengths… • Small size- personal (4+), employees like working there • Nice store, good location and growing • Customers keep coming back • Merchandise is well organized
Replay’s Weaknesses… • Takes a long time to file and organize incoming clothes in bins for sale (2-4wks) • Have to limit days per month for incoming clothes (21)
What is unique about Replay and its products? • We sell used children’s clothes which can cost a lot in the stores but may only get used for a few weeks or month. • We sell the clothes for about 33% of original cost which can be a great savings • Work/trade program- people exchange work hours for credit in the store • Play area for children
Image they would like to portray… • Home type family oriented-not too big • A personal touch • We’re here to help you as much as you help us
Position in the market Replay would like to hold… • The first place families think of when they think of buying used clothes in Corvallis. • Economical • Better than Goodwill
Current or projected market share… • We are currently only interested in the local area of Corvallis. We may have about 30% market share there. • We mainly compete with: • ‘All About Kids’ • ‘Jack & Jill’ • ‘Goodwill’.
Is market share increasing, decreasing, or static? • It is currently increasing. We take consignments on an increasing basis up from 300 to 400 per month since we relocated. • We also project to grow since ‘All About Kids’ is going out of business.
