  2. Outline • Background for the Arctic Data Centre (ADC) • The met.no DCPC Concept • Technological solution for ADC • Functionality under development • Demonstration

  3. Background for ADC • met.no participated in operational data coordination for the International Polar Year • Scientific requests for operational data • Scientific data of operational relevance • Need to bridge communities • met.no acted as IPY data centre • Will include IPY data in the ADC Catalogue • Arctic Data Centre Catalogue • Relevant operational data • Relevant scientific data generated internally and by external collaborators

  4. The Concept

  5. Roles and functionality handled by the system

  6. Functionality experienced by the user

  7. The technological solution

  8. Activities under development • Single Sign On experiments using Central Authentication Service (CAS) is ongoing. • Visualisation support for non-gridded data. • From NetCDF/CF primarily • Better support for Non-NetCDF/CF data. • Better support for non-gridded data. • In situ, outline data like ice edge, glacier firn line etc. • Population of the catalogue.

  9. Demonstration
