  2. Overall Milestones: • Integration into the Chief Directorate: Children and to Pretoria, South Africa • Full participation in training/conferences/workshops • Hands-on research contribution to the SACPPS with regards to the Capacity and Infrastructure Assessment (CIA) • Contextualization

  3. learning areas set out to accomplish: 1. Policy Implementation: The stages of policy implementation ( from policy inception stage, including research, development, consultation, sustainability and implementation) 2. Inter-professional Collaboration: Inter-professional collaboration with other departments, NGOs, academia, professional bodies, etc. 3. Project Management/Leadership: Planning/organizing a project with a lead role and  building relationships 4. Presentations, Meetings and Facilitation (Communication): Presentations or training or workshop facilitation to groups 5. Policy Research: Gathering/analyzing research data 6. Government readiness for change/ crisis: Developing insight into government response to crisis and/or change of political/ social/ economic situation (e.g. World Cup) 7. Policy development (consultation): Interface with those affected by policy decisions and developing insight into the consultation approach adopted by government 8. Policy Impact: Sustainability and the impact of policy decisions on generations to come 9. Orientation: Orientation to department (national and provincial) , branch, chief directorate and directorate (project) and community
