  1. 5 tips for raising a happy child As a first time parent, you need to ensure that your child grows up in a loving atmosphere, as this is the most critical part of his development. Chances are that as a first time parent, you already have your hands full with your little one, but it is important that you validate your child and shower him with love, so that he knows he is protected and is in a safe place, at all times. Just check out my video titled “a day in the life” as that should clue you in on what you can do to make your kids happy; additionally, do check out some of the tips posted below for a happy environment to bring up your kid. Validation: It is vital that you bond with your kid; spend each morning telling your kid that you love him, so that he understands that he is loved unconditionally. Often, young kids can sense when you are unhappy or angry, so make sure that you keep your emotions in check around them. Make sure that you hug and caress them often as this can help you to bond more with your kid. Time: It is essential that you spend as much time as possible with your kid; if both you and your partner are working, then there’s no reason why you should not take your child with you to work especially if your firm has a day care center. It is important that you try out a few activities with them often, from switching on the washer to using the remote. But while you need to encourage them to be active, make sure that you are firm with them to

  2. prevent them misbehaving, as it is vital that they understand the difference between right and wrong. Reward: The one thing you can do as a first time parent to prevent your kid from misbehaving is to reward him for good behavior. This validation in the form of treats, hugs and kisses should reinforce that only good behavior on their part is acceptable and soon, it will get your little one to stop misbehaving altogether Eating healthy: It is important that you ensure your kids get the right amount of nutrients in the form of healthy food as this can go a long way to ensure normal development and at the same time lower the risk of them developing diabetes later on. Consult your pediatrician and make sure that you include all the recommended super foods in your kid’s regular diet. It is vital that he gets to eat fresh fruits daily, so include the same as part of his breakfast meal. With these tips, you should be able to raise your kid in a healthy, safe environment and take effective measures to ensure that he eats right, at the same time.
