Are We There Yet? “Then Moses entreated the Lord his God, and said, ‘O Lord, why does Your anger burn against Your people whom You have brought out from the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty Hand?’” Exodus 32:11
The Journey A covenant relationship changes things…
The Journey Stopping and enjoying the journey with the one I love became more important.
“Are We There Yet?” “Are We There Yet?” “Are We There Yet?” “Are We There Yet?”
Moses… … is God’s person for leading God’s people
For the briefest time they were able to enter into the Upper Story of God… …a God who keeps His promises and is leading themto a land that was rich…
They fell back into looking just at the Lower Story… “Are We There Yet?” Trustwas waning…
God Provides… Manna… from… heaven
God does what he says he will do… …so that we can relax and enjoy his presence.
God is building His People into a nation … …and his faithful leaders, although not perfect, are anointed.
God’s nation, God’s people had to be different… …because it would reflect the very character of God to all others.
Can you relate? What is your/our wilderness? What is your/our provision when the future is unclear?
19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. (Deut. 30:19-20)
Choose God… choose life… …trust and obey …love, listen and hold fast tohim
Are We There Yet? No. But our heavenly Father knows exactly what He is doing…
