VINEYARDS • King Valley, Victoria • Originally settled by Italian migrant families • Gentle sloping vineyards, typically north and north-east facing • Soil types: deep red clay loams with good drainage and high fertility • Geelong, Victoria • Premier winegrowing region of Victoria • Boasts historical roots back to the 1800’s • Cool, maritime climate • Sandy loam soils, basalt plains, river loams, and rich volcanic soils
