Experience the joy of cultural exchange by hosting Japanese and Korean youth in your home this summer! From July 27 to August 23, 2013, you'll welcome a host sibling aged 10-18 to join your family for a month filled with fun activities like baseball, fishing, and cooking together. This program enables you to establish meaningful relationships, share cultures, and create lifelong memories. Interested hosts must be flexible, patient, and participate in family activities. Applications are due by February 15. Join us for an unforgettable summer experience!

Every summer, around 50 Japanese and Korean youth spend a month living with Wisconsin host families.

Why host? • Establish relationships • Meet people from Japan and Korea • Understand their culture, and yours!
When is the exchange? One MonthJuly 27 – August 23, 2013
What do you do? • Everything! • 4-H activities • play baseball • Help on the farm • Have water fights • Go fishing • Cook together • Go swimming • Celebrate birthdays • HAVE FUN
Requirements • Interest in other cultures • Host sibling between 10-18 years old • Provide room and board(can share a room, but need their own bed) • Participation in WI 4-H Youth Protection program for those in home 18 +
Requirements • Include in family activities • Be flexible, patient, and willing to communicate • Attend orientation by telephone in May • Pick up delegate in Madison (or arrange a carpool with another family in the area)
FAQ’s • Do delegates speak English? • Yes - some more than others • One of their goals is to learn more English
