Comprehensive CLPX Ground Radiometer Data During Intensive Field Campaigns

This dataset consists of high-resolution ground radiometer measurements gathered during the Intensive Field Campaign (IFC) related to the CLPX project. It includes 30-minute intervals of Stokes' brightness temperatures across various frequencies (1.4, 6.9, 19, and 37 GHz) in both V- and H-polarizations, as well as thermal infrared brightness temperatures. Ground temperature, moisture, and heat flow data to -1m depth, along with snow temperature profiles, are also provided. Measurements are recorded at different times of day and vary from 0° to 1800° nadir angles, supporting comprehensive environmental analysis.

Data Availability • Baseline data collected by MGG • Daily – quick-look data made available during IFC* • IFC* +2 months – Calibrated data made available on MGG server and to NSIDC in NSIDC desired format • Data rate = ~ 50 kByte/day during IFC* • Augmented data collected by MGG • ~ 200 kByte calibrated data each month for 4-day blocks, Sep’02 through Jan’03 • Made available on MGG server and to NSIDC in NSIDC desired format * IFC = Intensive Field Campaign

Desired Data For both baseline IFC* and augmented MGG experiment • Hourly at LSOS • Weather including precipitation and cloud cover • 4 component radiance and latent energy flux • All airborne microwave brightness and TIR data • AMSR and SSM/I data during IFC* and 4 day augmentations • As available • LSOS snowpack stratigraphy * IFC = Intensive Field Campaign
