Analysis and Impact of PUCT Project 35792 on ERCOT's REC Program Software

PUCT Project 35792 necessitates significant alterations to ERCOT's REC Program software. Key modifications include updates to 100% of application views and reports, along with adjustments to 50% of application code and transaction SQL stored procedures. Currently, ERCOT’s REC Program software operates on outdated infrastructure, hindering the use of modern technology. To address these issues, a proposal has been made for a project in ERCOT's 2011 Project Priority List, aimed at rewriting the REC Program software and transitioning it to a new platform, with high-level estimates on implementation timelines and costs.
