  12. Preparedness Measurement Tool • A final review of the PMT was conducted at the leadership level and buy in was attained by all Area Committee members. • Executive Summary is pending

  13. Mystery Oil Spill in New Bedford update • New Bedford Harbor Development Commission has taken great strides to remove derelict vessels and decrease the level of Mystery Oil Spills in New Bedford.

  14. Mystery Oil Spill in New Bedford update • New Bedford Harbor Commission has rid the port of 22 abandoned and derelict vessels to date. Also they have utilized use of “no trespass” orders, active tracking of the status of vessels, regulations establishing fines and criminal charges against owners if necessary.

  15. Weaver’s Cove LNG Update • Letter of Recommendation • Issued 30 July 09 • Recommended to FERC that: • -Waterway was suitable • - with conditions

  16. Weaver’s Cove LNG Update • FERC will issue a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) on the offshore proposal sometime in 2010/2011. • The LOR will be included in the DEIS. FERC will solicit public comment to its DEIS, which may include comments on the LOR

  17. Weaver’s Cove LNG Update • COTP will have an opportunity to review public comments germane to the LOR. • Sector SENE works closely with, and receives outstanding support from, District Prevention and Legal staffs.
