  1. STEPWISE APPROACH TO INSAR PROCESSING OF MULTITEMPORAL DATASETS A. Refice(1), F. Bovenga(2), R. Nutricato(2) (1)ISSIA-CNR, Bari (Italy), (E-mail: refice@ba.issia.cnr.it) (2)Dipartimento Interateneo di Fisica, Politecnico di Bari (Italy), (E-mail: rnutric@tin.it, fabio.bovenga@ba.infn.it)

  2. Summary • Various multi-temporal DInSAR processing techniques require accurate and automated co-registration of long series of images • Accurate co-registration is hindered by low coherence conditions, which worsen with increasing spatial and temporal baselines • “close” image pairs should be coregistered • An MST approach is proposed to determine the connection tree for the image stack • Different choices of the distance measure lead to different MST trees: maximization of expected coherence • Examples with different assumptions about the distance function are shown
