  4. Age of onset IDDM * Common in age less than 40 years NIDDM * Common in age more than 50 years

  5. Diagnosis Includes: • Urine test for glucose and ketoses • Random blood glucose • Plasma electrolytes, HbA • Glucose tolerant test

  6. Management Weight Maintenance Dieting Counseling Oral Hypoglycemic Drugs Insulin
