Need-Based Financial Aid

Discover eligibility for financial aid through UVA and learn how to apply effectively. You may qualify to receive up to $500 in aid, covering no more than 50% of your trip costs.   2. Who is eligible? • Those who qualify for financial-aid through UVA • What do you need to apply? • A financial aid statement or financial aid award letter (a photocopy or SIS print-out) and/or personal statement • What can you receive? • Up to $500 • No more than 50% of your trip cost

  3. Need-Based Financial Aid • Rewarded based on SIS Financial Aid award letter • Include a short personal statement if demonstration of financial need not explained by the SIS award letter

  4. DEADLINES • Winter Trips Deadline: Sunday October 28th at 11:59 pm • Spring Trips Deadline: Sunday December 2nd at 11:59 pm

  5. Individual Fundraising • Letter writing to family, friends, professors • Hometown organizations, businesses, churches etc. • Corporations, community leaders • Template/example letter available • INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISING HAS BEEN VERY SUCCESSFUL IN THE PAST

  6. Trip-wide Fundraising • Pizza Sales on Beta Bridge/the Corner, Qdoba night, Applebees Pancake Breakfast Fundraisers etc. • Team up with other ASB Trips! • Letter Writing!!
