  1. NWPP ADI Task Force Status Report for Columbia Grid by Darrel VanCoevering September 17, 2007

  2. ACE Data Access • In response to letter request all BA quickly agreed to provide their ACE data to the ADI Task Force. • Task Force now has 10 second ACE data for each BA for 1 week of each month in 2006. • One week of data is over 60,000 rows in an Excel spreadsheet.

  3. ACE Data Analysis • The volume of data makes analysis labor intensive and time consuming. • The first method to model is equal allocation. • Another method is proportional allocation. • There will probably be other ideas to test. • Within a method there are possible variations in calculating ACE adjustments.

  4. Preliminary Results • Sample of data run through equal allocation model. • Results not yet error checked or peer reviewed. • Measure is AVG(  ABS(ACE original)) - AVG(  ABS(ACE new)) • ABS(ACE) reduced from 20% to 33%.

  5. ADI Trial Status • First need to complete modeling and select method or methods of ACE sharing to try. • Analysis may be completed in September although this may be optimistic. • New agreements likely needed with Balancing Authorities for actual ADI trial.
