  4. Introduction In this manual, you will learn how to use the Pantech P7040. This manual will teach you how to do basic functions like making calls and turning the phone on and off. It teaches you how to charge and unlock the phone. It will also teach you more advanced functions like how to text or take a picture. This manual will give you the information you need to operate your phone.

  5. The BasicsTurning the Phone On/Off • Press the on/off button. It is located on the right side of the phone, and it has a phone icon on it.

  6. The BasicsUnlocking Phone The screen will automatically lock after about 15 seconds. Below are directions to unlock it. • Press the left slash button. • Press the right slash button.

  7. The BasicsContacts • Select “Menu” by clicking the right slash button. • Use the arrows to select “Address Book.” • Click “Options” when you are in the Address Book. • Click on “Add New Contact.” • Type in information with the keypad. • Click “Save” with the center button.

  8. The BasicsCalls Address Book • Go to your menu by clicking the right slash button. 2. Select “Address Book.” 3. Select the person you want to call. 4. Click the call button on the left side of the phone. 5. Press the end call button to end the call.

Side that goes into the phone The BasicsCharging Phone Outlet Side • Take out the flap that is on the right side of the phone. • Plug the charger into the phone • Plug the electrical side into the wall outlet. • Make sure the phone screen says “Charging”. • Unplug the phone from the charger when the battery icon on the home screen is full (that means it is fully charged.) AdvancedSending a Text Message • Click on “Menu” by clicking the right slash button. • Use the arrows to select “Messaging”. • Use the arrows to select “Create Message”. • Type your message using the keypad. Use text abbreviations to type your message faster. To use a symbol above one of the keys, press the “Fn” button and press the key in which the symbol is located on. • Click send by clicking the right slash button. • Select the person you want to send the message to by hitting the center button. • Click send by clicking on the right slash button.

  11. AdvancedTaking a Picture • Click on the camera button on the side of the phone. • Use the up and down arrows to zoom in and out. • Click the center button to take the picture.

  12. Conclusion There are many benefits for using the Pantech P7040 and this manual. You will be able to take pictures of your cat and send them to all of your friends and family. You can also stay in touch with everyone you know by calling or texting. Also, you will be able to contact other people without even remembering their phone numbers! This piece of technology is much easier to use than your normal home phone. You can do many things now that you could not do beforewith the Pantech P7040.

Page 9 • Contact- Someone’s information, such as their phone number or email address. Page 7 • Fn- An abbreviation for the word function that allows you to use other symbols. Page 10 • Home Screen- The main screen on the phone that has your background on it. Page 9 • Symbol- An icon, such as the money sign or the and sign. Page 10 • Text Abbreviations- Shortened or abbreviated words such as LOL or GTG. Page 10 • Text Message- A message sent from one person to another by using a cellular phone. Page 10
