AIM • To document the lessons and experiences acquired through the ProTEST pilot projects in Malawi, South Africa and Zambia and translate this knowledge into recommendations for the future expansion of collaborative TB and HIV programme activities World Health Organization
Specific Objectives • Present Quantitative and qualitative data on outcomes of interventions promoted including data on cost-effectiveness and behaviour studies • Develop policy for joint TB and HIV programme activities founded on lessons learned from the Pilot projects • Develop indicators and targets for monitoring future TB and HIV programme activities • Develop policy for expansion of joint TB and HIV programme activities from district to national programmes, indicating areas for research World Health Organization
Expected outcomes • Clear documentation of lessons and experiences from interventions used in the pilot projects. • Policy recommendation developed for joint TB and HIV programme collaboration • Consensus on indicators and targets for monitoring and evaluation of future joint TB and HIV programme activities • Policy for expansion of collaborative TB and HIV programme activities developed World Health Organization
