  2. Definition of "computer skills" • a working knowledge of the latest Microsoft product? • the ability to solve all problems that arise with a computer? • the expertise to assemble a machine from scratch and install and configure an operating environment? Q1: What is your definition?

  3. The best definition of “having computer skills" that comes to mind is:being able to make a computer do what you want it to do.Sadly, few people will graduate from the university with knowledge that extensive.

As a teacher, what do I need “computer skills” for? • Distance teaching/learning • Giving presentations • Using the internet • Communication with project partners • Programming for teaching purposes • Online study (reading, note-making, etc.) • Students online assessment Q2: Why do you need computer skills for? The new suggested items will be used for the work group task.

  5. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW? Communication with project partners • Understand and apply forum rules (registration, posting, etc.) • Make and send archives bigger than 10 MB. • Use the internet, access web-sites addresses. • Know if there are instant messaging tools installed. • Reply to the messages and attach files to them. • Print messages, scan documents. Q3: What do you consider the most difficult task for you? Arrange the tasks in ascending order from 1 to 6. Work individually.
