  1. The Reality and Rewards of Your Salvation (continued)

  2. 1st Peter 1:13-25 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind Salvation is demanding of recipients, Rom 12:1,2 We must overcome hindrances of our former lust This required changing our resolve Old baggage must be discarded on new journey Changed lives are in order

  3. 1st Peter 1:13-25 We must be filled with hope Our attitude must be different Focus on the reward of grace Php 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

  4. 1st Peter 1:13-25 We must be obedient children Ignorance of childhood is to be replaced with knowledge Spiritual maturity exposes repulsiveness of evil practices

  5. 1st Peter 1:13-25 We must be holy in our conduct 1Pe 4:3-4 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: 4 Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:

  6. 1st Peter 1:13-25 We must be fearful of a impartial Judge 2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

  7. 1st Peter We must be grateful for the sacrifice made in our behalf Joh3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

  8. 1st Peter We must be committed to family behavior 1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

  9. 1st Peter We must be committed to family behavior Mutual love removes danger of hatred and quarreling Mutual love must come from pure hearts Mutual love must be energized by a respect for God’s word Jn 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

  10. 1st Peter 1:13-25 1Pe 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
