  1. If you're looking at buying a used car, you're going to want to know some things to look out for in order to assess potential damage. All used cars have some form of wear and tear. However, knowing a pricing range for repairs to damage may help in your negotiations. Be sure to review all of the panels of the vehicle including panel and door dents as these can be upwards of $80 per dent to repair. Bumper scuffs, scrapes, dents and cracks can range anywhere from $250 up to $450 or more depending on the visible and hidden damage. Chips and scratches, which may have actually exposed the metal have the potential to cause rust and can range from $100 upwards. Odd colouring or texture may indicate that a previous incident has been repaired. Although not an immediate cost, it would likely make a new repair more time- consuming and expensive if the older repair work needed to be removed. If you're unsure, give us a call. Our technicians are backed by over 25 years’ experience and over two million repairs, and we know cosmetic collision repair.
