  6. IN PARTICULAR THE FOLLOWING ASPECTS WILL BE EXAMINED: • TRANSIENT PHASE AND PROGRESSIVE FLOODING • FINAL CALM WATER EQUILIBRIUM • IRREGULAR SEA BEHAVIOUR • COMPLIANCE WITH EVACUATION REQUIREMENT • AND SURVABILITY OF LARGE PASSENGER VESSELS

TIME SCHEDULE: • WITHIN DECEMBER 2004: RESULTS OF INDEX A FOR TWO CRUISE VESSELS, ONE FERRY AND A CONTAINER VESSEL USING PROPOSED REGULATION • WITHIN FEBRUARY 2004: • COMPLETION OF THE CALCULATION OF INDEX A FOR REMAINING VESSELS (TWO CRUISES, ONE FERRY AND CAR CARRIER) • CALCULATION OF THE INDEX A FOR THE AFOREMENTIONED SHIPS WITH ALTERNATIVE MODELLING (INCLUSIONS OF WATERTIGHT VOLUMES ABOVE BULKHEAD DECK) • WITHIN MARCH 2004: COMPLETION OF PROTEUS ANALYSIS AND TANK TESTS • WITHIN APRIL 2004: COMPLETION OF REPORTING AND RECOMMANDATIONS
