  1. The 7 Habits Cameron Lee

  2. Habit #1- Be Proactive • I am a responsible person. I take initiative. I choose my actions, attitudes, and moods. I do not blame others for my wrong actions. I do the right thing without being asked, even when no one is looking. • When you are in 6th grade, and you forget to do your homework, if you will do it the next day that is being proactive. By not doing it is bad.

  3. Habit #2- Begin With the End in Mind • I plan ahead a set goals. I do things that have a meaning and make a difference. I am a important part of my classroom and contribute to my school’s mission and vision. I look for ways to be a good citizen. • You are walking in Derby and go to class on time. Then, after the bell rings, you forgot what class is the next class. That is a bad example of habit #2.

  4. Habit #3- Put First Things First • I spend my time on things that are most important. This means I say no to things I should not do. I set my priorities, make a plan, and make a schedule. I am disciplined and organized. • If you are working on a project and only doing the project that is habit #3. If you are doing the project but talking to people that is not following habit #3.

  5. Habit #5- Seek First to Understand, then be Understood • I listen to other peoples ideas and feelings. I try to see things from their viewpoints. I listen to others without interrupting. I am confident in voicing my ideas. I look people in the eye they are talking. • When you don’t agree on something. If a Seaholm football game starts at 7pm but you think it starts at 6:30pm. And 6:30 is right that is a example of habit 5.

  6. Habit #6- Synergize • I value other peoples strengths and learn from them. I get along well with others, even people who are different then me. I work well in groups. I seek out other peoples ideas to solve problems because I know by teaming with others we can create better solutions than anyone of us can alone. I am humble. • When you are doing school work, with a partner, you want to synergize with them. You want to help each other out.

  7. Habit #7- Sharpen the Saw • I take care of my body by eating right and getting a good sleep. I spend time with my family and friends. I learn in lots of ways in lots of places, not just in school. I find meaningful ways to help others. • If you are in the line of the cafeteria you would sharpen the saw and choose healthy foods. Don’t get junk food.
