  3. PARISH ACTIVITIES • October • Trunk or Treat • 28th Celebrated 50th Anniversary St. Jude • November • Knights 50/50 Social • St. Vincent dePaul Thanksgiving distribution • Thanksgiving Ecumenical Service • Parish Choir Christmas Concert

  4. December • 8th - Bless Saint Joseph Cemetery • 19th – Snow storm 22” • 28th – Parish Carol-Sing-A-Long • JANUARY • Assumed responsibility for St. Jude Church • (3 Weekday/9 Sunday Masses) • APRIL • Chapel is repainted, carpeted and sanctuary tiled

  5. February 2nd - Got approval from Diocesan Review Committee for the Merger 6th – 25” of snow 10th – 15’ of snow

  6. March • Deacon Bill Drum died • Volunteer Party @ St. Jude • Parish Mission @St. Agnes

  7. April • 9th -Parish merger decree announced May • 10th – creation of new parish of Our Lady of Hope • 15th – closing ceremonies for St. Agnes and St. Jude Parishes and the opening Mass of Our Lady of Hope • 20th-22nd - Family festival

  8. JUNE • 27th - Installation of the new pastor by the Bishop • JULY • 9th – First celebration of our Patronal feast • Vacation Bible School

  9. August • Summer Series of Talks • MESSENGER hosts “Coffee House”

  10. SEPTEMBER • New addition of Our Lady of Hope School opens with the Bishop’s Blessing

  11. ONGOING ACTIVITIES BAPTISMS - 203 FIRST COMMUNION – 171 CONFIRMATION - 108 MARRIAGES - 46 FUNERALS - 116

  12. PARISH IMPROVEMENTS • New look to the church bulletin • Created a new website • Upgraded all computers in the parish office

  13. CHURCH • Installed Icons from St. Jude • Stain glass windows from Church Street Chapel • Heat reducing tint to windows • Created credence table to right of altar to match the left side

  14. PROPERTY • Repainted parking lot lines and improved the flow of traffic • Added 5 handicap spaces • New signs for Office, Church and Center • Enhanced the landscaping • Cleared corner lot on Peter’s Lane • Fenced in storage/trash areas

  15. Solved drainage problem near Chapel • Cleaned, repaired, added drainage systems • Added to sprinkler systems (well water) • New gutters & downspouts on church • Defibulator installed at church and center (TY to K of C)

  16. Converted classrooms in Center to meeting rooms (TY to K of C) • Replaced security system in Center

  17. NEW STAFF • New positions: • Business Manager • Youth Minister

  18. New personnel: • Administrative Asst./Office Manager • Receptionist • Sacristan • Maintenance - two

  19. The benefits of merging parishes: • Review & renewal of ministries & activities • Greater opportunities for involvement • Consolidation of resources for more programing

  20. THE FUTURE • Form a new Pastoral Council • Create Marriage Preparation Program (Pre-Cana) • Enrichment sessions for married couples • Enrichment sessions for Liturgical ministers • Enhance “electronic giving” • Outreach to inactive Catholics

  21. Join the Township in creating a more sustainable community by becoming more “GREEN” • Enhancing the concept of stewardship • Time – volunteerism • Talent – leadership • Treasure – financial support
