  3. Target Students • Esthetic mind • Grade 11 and 12 students are the prime targets • Lower middle class • Keen to open their boutiques

Unit Summary • Due to high rise in inflation it is impossible for middle and low income families to buy trendy bridal dresses • Although our students are perfect in skill yet they are poor in selection of color scheme, proper design and color combination with designing of the dress • Students will assume the roll of dress designer and at the end of lesson they will be able to make trendy beautiful stylish bridal dresses which will be low priced and affordable for the low income families • The bridal dress average cost to our students will be about Rs. 20,000/- and they can sell it of about Rs. 25,000/- as compared to Rs. 50,000/- of other designers

  5. Questions? • Does one need to be creative or one can copy & be creative? The answer is you have to be creative to survive in the market and for that esthetic sense is required • Is fashion a luxury? It should not be, that is why we are producing students from the middle class who know and understand the problems of people of same socio- economic status

Teaching Goals • Development of confidence in the students • Awareness in the students about the trends in the market • Helping the students to produce/make their own sketches/ideas • Teaching students about how to get cheap material and produce low-priced dress • To provide a low priced trendy bridal dress in the market for ordinary man by producing good designers

  8. Assessment Criteria • Ruberics for the type of fabric used. • Check list for type of thread used. • Special marks for cleanliness presentation • Good grades for attractiveness of design.
