21st Century Industrial EnterpriseWhere we’ve been – outdated names • We call them: • Ammunition Plants -- both GOGO and GOCO • Other Manufacturing Plants -- GOCO • Manufacturing Arsenals -- GOGO • Maintenance Depots, GOGO • Note: • GOGO = Government-owned, Government-operated • GOCO = Government-owned, Contractor-opererated • They have other missions: • Ammo plants manufacture non-explosive parts • GOCO manufacturing plants are sometimes the site of contracted depot maintenance • Arsenals perform some depot maintenance, and one also manufactures ordnance items • Maintenance depots make some parts, and fabricate and assemble new items • All industrial facilities are hosts for other government and private entities But So… 2
