EXPLORE Overview • English (40 item, 30-minute) test measures conventions of standard written English and of rhetorical skills • Mathematics (30-item, 30 minute) test emphasizes solving practical quantitative problems • Reading (30-item, 30 minute) test measures reading comprehension as a product of referring and reasoning skills • Science (28-item, 30 minute) test measures scientific reasoning skills

PLAN Overview • English (50-item, 30 minute) test measures conventions of standard written English and of rhetorical skills • Mathematics (40-item, 40 minute) test emphasizes solving practical quantitative problems • Reading (25-item. 20 minute) test measures reading comprehension as a product of referring and reasoning skills • Science (30-item, 25 minute) test measures scientific reasoning skills

Other Components • Interest Inventory – helps students explore personally relevant career options • Needs Assessment – collects information about students’ perceived needs • Educational plans and Background Information – gathers information about students’ school coursework plans, educational career plans after high school and other relevant information
