  1. Call to Worship “My eyes will be watching the faithful people in the land so that they may live with Me. The person who lives with integrity will serve Me.” Psalms 101:6 GWV

  2. “Faith-FULL” Faith is perhaps one of the most important and least understood of all the Christian virtues. In this verse Christ presents the lofty vision of Christians having a “Mountain-Moving Faith”…yet so many of us are plagued with a faith that falls quite a bit short of this. How can we acquire this kind of faith; a faith that never fails in the face of adversity ? “If your faith is the size of a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”Matthew 17:20 GWV

  3. Back in the 70’s Bob Harrington the infamous Chaplain of Bourbon Street made this somewhat comical and telling quote: • “Most Christians today don’t have enough faith to blow the fuzz off a peanut.”

  4. Be a Contender “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” Jude 1:3 KJV

  5. The problem is we really don’t understand what the purpose of faith is all about, and how it works. “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.”Galatians 5:6 KJV “The only thing that counts is faith… expressing itself through love.”(Galatians 5:6 NIV)

  6. “But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works and I will show you my faith by my works.” James 2:18 NET Faith only operates through a pure and unselfish motive.

  7. Faith isn’t meant to be a cure-all for everything that ails us; nor is it a tool to be used to satisfy our own selfish desires. Faith is more than a means to an end; it is really about our relationship with God (e.g. Faithfulness). “You don’t have the things you want, because you don’t pray for them. When you pray for things, you don’t get them because you want them for the wrong reason--for your own pleasure.”James 4:2-3 GWV • “If you want to be full of faith…you must be faithful.”

  8. Faithfulness is a part of our character. If you find a spouse that is faithful to God…you’ll never have to worry if they’ll be faithful to you. “The one who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and the one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” Luke 16:10 NET

  9. The real evidence of a strong faith is not your ability to acquire all of the things you desire, but rather how you respond to God throughout the various trials and struggles of this life.

  10. “Faith is not getting everything you want; Faith is loving and clinging to God no matter what you get.”

  11. Faith is the calm assurance of knowing that no matter what happens in your life, God is devising a plan in which it will work out for the very best.

  12. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose… What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:28 & 31 KJV The truth is your faith will get you through every dark and dire situation in your life as long as you remain faithful to Him.

  13. Thank you for worshipping with us today. “The LORD will bless you and watch over you. The LORD will smile on you and be kind to you. The LORD will look on you with favor and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 niv
